Sylph or Satan is the fourth instalment in the crime thriller series featuring DS Taylor Nicks and DC Marcus Black.

A young sylph-like woman smiles sweetly as she tilts her head to the side, her eyes meeting with those of terror. He is helpless, exposed and vulnerable, his strength taken from him, his lifeless limbs incapable of saving his own life or harming her ever again. Her eyes darken as she moves closer, tiny in stature, innocent to those watching with an unhealthy desire. She whispers in his ear, and tears begin to run down his cheek as she raises a single finger to push his head beneath the water.

Taylor Nicks and Marcus Black are back crime fighting once again, the streets of Edinburgh steeped in history and now the hunting ground of the innocent.

The body count rises, but Taylor's team fails to make the connection and the officers are ten steps behind in the pursuit of the most unlikely serial killer.

Retribution, revenge, hatred, sadness, love, lust and violence in abundance, this book will have you looking over your shoulder everywhere you go. Perhaps you won't look at others with such naivety in future... not everyone is as they seem.

Another sinister, dark and alarming story of a young woman whose world is turned upside down through no fault of her own and takes out her hate-filled revenge on anyone who crosses her path.
