This baby mountain gorilla (named Tank) went through a harrowing experience when his troop of 26 mountain gorillas perished from poachers. Only he survived, but barely, his midsection eaten away by hyenas. Believing he'd never survive the rid back to the Rwanda Wildlife Preserve, it was touch and go. But after surgery and 3 weeks in ICU he was placed among the Vets 2-month-old quintuplets. Tank was adopted by the Vets who had save his life, Mr. and Mrs. Krikor Boyagian. The family were football fanatics. Tank watched from the stands, as his brothers played football until, one day, a football landed near his feet. He picked it up and tossed it bac onto the field throwing a perfect spiral pass over 30 yards without any effort. That was the beginning of Tank's football career. The news media called him a "Sports Phenom."
