Donna Lisle Burton's most recent collection of poems, written as she deals with an adult daughter's life changes, a grandson's coming of age, the gradual onset of her husband's Alzheimer's disease, her own minor stroke, and important, memorable passages of life. Burton celebrates the world and life's vicissitudes by immersing herself them, producing works that reflect and echo her own intellectual, emotional, and psychological reflections. Reading her poetry is like listening to the conversation of a profoundly insightful person completely at ease with herself, without barriers, but with every sentence, every word, carefully thought out.
