In this bold collection of 94 poems, Adamu Danjuma speaks with candour on broad subjects from love to motherhood, perseverance and humanity. The glowing undercurrent beneath the flow of his poems from one to the next, is that of firm optimism. Danjuma offers hope in his words not merely to paint a better life ahead, but to give healing to the present, and meaning to scars of the past. The title of this collection best represents this, for in saying that "This too shall pass," the poet succeeds in assuring one, gently soothing their fears with balm, while letting them know that no trial is the equivalent of an apocalypse, and that goodness can still sprout from chaos.
