In this first of three volumes, Yendor D. Wolf introduces the world as seen by a martial artist living in the City for the first time. Each haiku zooms in on delightfully, and easily missed, details in the vast metropolis. Wolf provides the reader with a puzzle piece, a fragment of beauty that possesses meaning.

Throughout, Wolf sheds light on his hopes, fears, and thoughts as he answers the age old question: “Was this a good idea?”

Such light that breaks through

These streets, roads, and avenues

Let it shine on me
