Read a whole novel in Korean - and actually enjoy it.

Book Two in the Korean Classic Reader series brings you The Deeper the Darkness, the Brighter the Stars Shine - an adaptation of Charlotte Brontë's Jane Eyre, set in modern-day Korea and written entirely in Korean for pre-intermediate learners.

What's this book about?

Like Jane Eyre, this is a coming-of-age story. Kim Ji-su is a young woman determined to succeed despite everything stacked against her. Cut off from friendships by her older cousin and without the resources others take for granted, Ji-su refuses to give up. Along the way she meets people who help her grow - and finally finds her place in the world.
