Who is Magali?

Good question.

Magali is an ordinary French marmot.

At least, she was.

Then she met a hare, two foxes, and a group of mountain animals with a talent for turning simple ideas into complete chaos.

This bilingual adventure tells a complete story in English and French, presented on facing pages.

It's for young readers, bilingual families, teachers, and language learners.

This time, a mysterious mountain farm is hiding a secret that nobody wants to explain.

Magali the marmot had a very simple plan.

Find cheese.

Eat cheese.

Eat more cheese.

Instead, she and Mishka discover what appears to be a prison hidden high in the French Alps.

Behind the fence are goats, ducks, ponies, donkeys, cows, and rabbits.

The strange part?

None of them want to escape.

As Magali's group of mountain mates investigate the mysterious farm, the little marmot finds herself caught up in another chaotic adventure involving:

• secret missions after dark,
• animals who refuse to answer questions,
• a duck who nearly gives away the secret,
• and a group of friends who stumble onto something very strange.

The more they investigate, the stranger things become.

Because the animals aren't prisoners.

They're waiting for something.

And whatever it is, everyone wants a turn.
